- If you are being spiked by an enemy, deal with them before continuing with your ground mission. They may be on your six and lining up a shot.
- To defend against a SAM:
- Get a visual on it
- Beam it
- Pop chaff
- See if the missile loses its track
- If not, defensive turn with chaff
